The début album by Saint Etienne, Foxbase Alpha, has always been one of my all time favourite albums with it’s sixties kitsch mixed together with excellent sample choices and electronica to create an album of incredible songs. Like most albums these days it has been remastered into a two disc deluxe edition for it’s 18th birthday and recently the band have been playing it in it’s entirety at gigs across the country. I’ve not listened to the disc of extras yet but the disc 1 is essential listening to these and most probably your ears!
Even when I’m a Premium user and loving it at the moment, every once in a while I get a message “This Album not available in Switzerland” which jerks me back to reality and reminds me why I used to pirate music.
This album might not be available in Switzerland for some arcane reason but I can assure you that the bay of pirates is sure to make it available to no extra cost or effort.
